  1. Is TEYA a manufacturer? 

    Yes, we do have our own production based in Europe, Poland. All accessories are handcrafted by local artisans. We produce everything in limited quantities or on demand, therefore we guarantee superior quality. At TEYA we only stand for ethical manufacturing, we are against cheaply made mass production with huge amounts of waste, polluting our planet. Our philosophy is Quality over Quantity.

  2. What silk do you use?

     All TEYA products are made of 100 % mulberry silk of highest grade. We never buy fabric in stocks, where the quality of material may vary. Our silk is “made to order” in China, we only collaborate with certified manufacturer; with the help of our own representative we control quality at every stage before shipping to Europe.

  3. Why do you choose Chinese silk? 

    The history of silk began in ancient China circa 27th century BC. Since then China remains the world’s leading silk manufacturer. European producers also import raw materials from China (silk fibers, yarns) and then weave it into silk fabric. We work directly with the manufacturer of raw silk /woven fabric. It allows us to get the superior quality of the fabric.

  5. What is a momme? 

    A momme is a unit of measurement that indicates the weight of silk. (density) The higher the momme number, the heavier and the more durable the fabric is. ( a greater amount of silk is used in the weaving process). The number of momme always indicates the quality of silk. Do not invest in silk pillowcase, if the momme number is lower than 22 momme.

  6. Can I wash my TEYA products in a washing machine? 

    You can wash TEYA products in a washing machine, however, be sure to use a SPECIAL detergent for silk and a DELICATE cycle (cold water, 30 C max, delicate spinning). If you don’t trust your washing machine, please use a bag for delicates or go for hand wash or dry clean instead. We do recommend hand wash for intimates and delicate accessories to keep them in perfect condition. Please check our full silk care guide HERE.

  7. How long a silk pillowcase will serve me? When to buy a new one? 

    If you follow the care instructions, your TEYA pillowcase will give you perfect sleep for years. Even longer, if you have several of them – after all, variety is the spice of life, especially in bed. Generally speaking, we recommend to buy a new pillowcase after 2 years of everyday use, as silk will loose it’s sheen eventually .

  8. Can I return my order? 

    We’re sure you will be happy with your purchase. However, if you are not satisfied, you can always return it for a full refund within 14 days of delivery (excluding the shipping costs). Please check our Return Policy HERE.
